Repair rotor bearing bores in pallet grinding mill

Bearings that support the 20,000 lb rotor started moving around in their mounting bores causing an unsafe operating condition. The bearing was temporarily held in place by welding stop blocks around the bearing housing until a shut down could be arranged.

The 18" bores where repaired to original specifications in two and one half days saving thousands of dollars. Onsite repair of worn bores can often be done without major disassembly. Saving time and transportation to a machine shop, keeping costly downtime to a minimum
